Japan Academic Challenge & Japanese Speech Contest

    The 11th Annual Japan Academic Challenge & the 25th Annual Japanese Speech Contest will be held on March 5, 2016 at Mercer University Atlanta Campus. This event is co-organized by the Georgia Association of Teachers of Japanese, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, the Japan America Society of Georgia, and the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta.

    The Japan Academic Challenge is a team competition which will challenge students’ knowledge of Japanese cultural aspects, including: history, geography, language, and current events.

    The Japanese Speech Contest gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the Japanese language by reciting an original speech. This contest provides a unique opportunity for the top winner to receive a roundtrip ticket to Japan!

    The application deadline is February 20, 2016.
