Tea Ceremony Demonstration

Guests listen attentively to an explanation of the Tea Ceremony.
Community leaders from around the metro Atlanta area were invited to start off 2011 by participating in a Japanese tea ceremony demonstration at the Consul General’s residence. Guests from the media, local government, and think tanks came to observe the ceremony and enjoy refreshments.
The ceremony was performed by members of the Chado Urasenke Tankokai Atlanta Association, who meet regularly at Nakato Restaurant in Atlanta. Ms. Tomoko Aoyagi had the role of hostess, while other members of the Association performed the role of guests.
