Courtesy Visit to Chairman Nash, Gwinnett County, GA
On February 11th, Consul General (CG) Shinozuka paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Charlotte Nash, Chairman of Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. Gwinnett County has the largest Asian population in the state of Georgia. As to the investment by Japanese companies, there are over 140 Japanese businesses located here and have generated close to 5,000 jobs. CG Shinozuka expressed his gratitude for the continuous support for these Japanese businesses by the Gwinnett County government and Chamber of Commerce and also for hosting JapanFest, the largest Japanese cultural event in the Southeast. Dr. Dan Kaufman, president and CEO, and Mr. Nick Masino, Vice President of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce also attended this meeting.
