CG Sunaga attends Asian Pacific American (APA) Heroes & Advocates Ceremony (September 19, 2013)
On September 19, the Asian American Peace Officers of Georgia (AAPOG) held the first annual Asian Pacific American Heroes and Advocates Awards Ceremony in the city of Atlanta. The ceremony was held to recognize the Georgia officers of local, state, and law enforcement agencies with Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Filipino and various other Asian Pacific American heritages.
Mike Grant, an FBI Special Agent of Japanese American heritage, was presented with the first AAPOG Asian Pacific American Peace Officer of the Year Award for his many years of dedication and service to ensure the security of our nation.
CG Sunaga, who was invited to attend the ceremony as an AAPOG banquet honorary chair, congratulated all the officers who received special recognition at the awards ceremony and thanked all of the Asian American Peace Officers for their continued support and service to public safety.
