Courtesy Visit to Mayor Kasim Reed, City of Atlanta

    On July 16, 2013, Consul General (CG) Sunaga visited Atlanta City Hall for a courtesy call with Mayor Kasim Reed. CG Sunaga specifically mentioned that the links between Japan and Atlanta are growing and that they represent a “multi-layered partnership”. Mayor Reed agreed and called Japan “one of our central partners in Asia”. Both agreed to work together to further promote the partnership between Japan and Atlanta. Atlanta has a sister city agreement with Fukuoka (Fukuoka Prefecture) Japan.
