Consul General Sunaga visits Commissioner Cummiskey, Georgia State Department of Economic Development
On June 11th, Consul General (CG) Kazuo Sunaga visited the Georgia State Department of Economic Development to pay a courtesy call to Commissioner Chris Cummiskey. CG Sunaga told the Commissioner that his primary duties include supporting over 500 Japanese companies/businesses in Georgia as well as promoting foreign direct investment from Georgia to Japan. Both CG Sunaga and Commissioner confirmed their commitments to promote Japan-Georgia relations. The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Tokyo Office was the first overseas office that was established for marketing and sales of Georgia products. Established in 1973, the Tokyo office celebrated its 40th anniversary this year.
