Consul General Shinozuka’s Courtesy Visit to Alabama Governor Bentley
On February 11, Consul General Shinozuka visited Montgomery, Alabama to pay a courtesy call to Governor Robert Bentley. In Alabama there are currently 140 Japanese businesses, investing over 10 billion dollars, and generating over 20,000 employment opportunities. CG Shinozuka expressed his gratitude to the Alabama State government for its support of Japanese businesses and contributions to strengthening US-Japan business exchange including hosting the 38th Annual Conference of the Southeast US-Japan Association last year. Governor Bentley spoke highly of the wonderful partnership between Alabama and Japan and his hopes that it will continue to prosper. Alabama State Secretary of Commerce Greg Canfield also attended this meeting.
