The Grand Opening Ceremony for Kobelco Construction Machinery USA Inc. New Plant in Spartanburg, SC

    On June 14th, Consul General Shinozuka visited Lincoln, Alabama and met with Mayor Claude “Bud” Kitchin. After conveying his condolences for the victims of the shooting incident in Orlando, Florida on June 12th, Consul General Shinozuka spoke about Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, a Japanese company operating in Lincoln, and his hope for the good relationship generated between Japanese business and nationals in the city of Lincoln to continue to strive.

    Mayor Kitchin spoke about the large positive impact that Japanese companies have had on job creation within the city of Lincoln, and his desire to maintain a good relationship with these companies and attract further investment from Japan.

    Following the meeting, Consul General Shinozuka visited the Honda Manufacturing of Alabama plant where he met with Company president Jeff Tomuko and other company executives including VP Hideki Takayama and toured the facility.
