Clemson Language Intensive Program (CLIP) student visit
On May 22, Associate Professor and Director of the Clemson Language Intensive Program (CLIP) at Clemson University in South Carolina, Toshiko Kishimoto, along with Assistant Yuki Takemura and six current CLIP participants were invited to the Official Residence. Consul General Sunaga gave an explanation of the duties of the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta and expressed his hope for the students to continue their studies of Japan and the Japanese language.
Afterwards, the students demonstrated their Japanese language abilities by explaining the CLIP Program and giving self-introductions including mention of their individual majors. They even told a few original jokes in Japanese.
