CG Sunaga Presented Japan America Society of Alabama (JASA) with "Certificate of the Consul General's Commendation" at JASA's 25th Annual Dinner
On May 15, CG and Mrs. Sunaga attended the Japan America Society of Alabama (JASA) 25th Annual dinner held in Birmingham, Alabama. JASA president Lamar Smith, officers of the JASA, the board of directors, business and individual members, friends and supporters made up the roughly 180 attendees at the 25th Annual Dinner. CG Sunaga took this opportunity to present the JASA with the Certificate of Commendation. This certificate recognizes organizations and individuals for their hard work and dedication to promoting mutual understanding and friendship between various countries and Japan.
Since its establishment in 1989, the JASA has devoted 25 years to numerous programs aimed at promoting Japanese culture, education, business, as well as supporting sister-city partnerships between Japan and Alabama. CG Sunaga presented President Lamar Smith with the official Certificate of the Consul General’s Commendation acknowledging the contributions of the Japan America Society of Alabama.
The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta will continue to assist and support the activities of the Japan America Society of Alabama.
