The 2013 Kizuna Cup is an international soccer competition organized by Mr. Shimazaki and Ms. Komori, interns at the non-profit organization Soccer-in-the-Streets. This event will be hosted in recognition of all the support given to Japan in the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan earthquake. The soccer tournament is open to players from youth soccer communities in the Atlanta area and each participant will receive a t-shirt. Throughout the event there will be information provided on Japanese culture and the 2011 Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami. There will also be a food court with Japanese snacks, drinks, and onigiri, donated by Japanese restaurants and members of the local Japanese community. There are a limited number of participants for the tournament but spectators are welcome to come and enjoy the event!
