Northwestern Middle School Japanese Class Visit May 19, 2015


Kizuna Project Northwestern Middle School

    On May 19th, Consul General Sunaga visited Northwestern Middle School in Fulton County, Georgia. Northwestern Middle School began offering Japanese classes 3 years ago. Currently, there are approximately 50 students in grades 6-8 involved in the Japanese program.

    Consul General held a discussion about the Japanese education program with the school's principal, Dr. Kullar, during the visit followed by a presentation by students in the Japanese program. The presentation showcased the results of their studying and hard work through performing Japanese songs, skits, and speeches in Japanese.

    Finally, CG Sunaga spoke to the students about the importance of continuing in their studies in order to improve and progress. He also hopes they will continue to learn Japanese.
