Grand Opening Ceremony for New Manufacturing Facility of Kubota Manufacturing of America in Gainesville, GA
On April 10, Consul General Shinozuka attended the grand opening of Kubota Manufacturing of America’s new facility in Gainesville, GA. Masatoshi Kimata, President and Representative Director of Japan’s Kubota Corporation was also in attendance along with approximately 80 others involved with Japan-U.S. relations including Governor of Georgia Nathan Deal and his wife; Lt. Governor of Georgia Casey Cagle; and Chairman Richard Higgins of Hall County Board of Commissioners in a widely well-lauded Grand Opening Ceremony.
Kubota Corp.’s U.S. affiliate company Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA) under President Hironobu Kubota announced that, in order to support the expansion of its multipurpose 4-wheel drive vehicle (utility vehicles, or UV) business from the production angle, it will build a new facility specializing in UV close to the existing factory. In addition to expanding production capacity, this new facility will be the first overseas manufacturing outpost to use the Kubota Production System and charts a course for a new international standard in quality, cost, and delivery.
