CG Sunaga met Mr. Christopher Chung, North Carolina’s Economic Development Partnership CEO on his courtesy visit
On March 30th, Consul General Kazuo Sunaga visited the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) to pay a courtesy call to its CEO, Christopher Chung. Based in Cary NC, the EDPNC was established last October in an effort to further promote business and job recruitment and retention, international trade, and tourism, film and sports development in the state. Mr. Chung was appointed CEO in January of this year. CG Sunaga stated that more than 300 Japanese companies/businesses in North Carolina have created about 23,000 employment opportunities. While expressing his appreciation for the support of North Carolina’s government, CG Sunaga sought for EDPNC's continued support and cooperation in order to strengthen relations with Japan.
Mr. John Loyack, Vice President for Global Commerce, EDPNC and Honorary Consul-elect of Japan in Raleigh David Robinson also attended this courtesy visit.
