Consul General Sunaga's Courtesy Visit to North Carolina Secretary of Commerce John Skvarla
On March 30th, Consul General Sunaga paid a courtesy visit to North Carolina Secretary of Commerce John Skvarla.
During the meeting, CG Sunaga and Secretary Skvarla exchanged views on the Japanese economy and TPP. CG Sunaga stated that more than 300 Japanese companies/businesses have created about 23,000 employment opportunities in North Carolina. While expressing his appreciation for the support of North Carolina’s government, CG Sunaga sought continued cooperation and support for existing and new Japanese companies in order to strengthen relations between Japan and North Carolina.
Will Collins (co-Secretary of Commerce), Cecilia Holden (Chief of Staff), Kim Genardo (Public Relations Director), and David Robinson (then Honorary Consul of Japan in Raleigh Elect) were also present during this visit.
