TD Automotive Compressor GA (TACG) 10th Anniversary in Pendergrass, Georgia
On October 9, TD Automotive Compressor Georgia (TCGA) held a ceremony commemorating the 10 year anniversary of the company’s establishment in Pendergrass, GA. Jackson County Chairman of Commissioners Tom Crowe, State Department of Commerce International Investment Director Scott McMurray, and President Akira Onishi from Toyota Industries Corporation Japan, TCGA's parent company, Denso Managing Officer Katsuhisa Shimokawa, and Consul General Sunaga were among VIP guests. Also from the local community attended State Senator Frank Ginn, State Representative Tommy Benton, Jefferson Mayor Roy Plot, and economic development officials, along with approximately 500 company employees this celebratory event.
TCGA was founded in 2004 as a joint venture by Denso International America, Inc., the US subsidiary of the Denso Corporation along with Toyota Industries North America, Inc. (TINA, Indianapolis, Columbus) to manufacture automobile air-conditioning compressors with approximately 580 employees. In 2012, TCGA air-compressor production volume topped 1 million units and in 2013, TCGA and TICA began a $190 million joint production expansion plan which would create 120 new jobs.
