The Grand Opening Ceremony for Toppan USA, Inc. New Plant in Griffin, GA


    On April 7th, Consul General Shinozuka attended the grand opening ceremony for the new Toppan USA plant in Griffin, Georgia. The ceremony was attended by about 100 guests including President Kaneko from parent company Toppan Printing Co., Ltd in Japan, company executives, Mr. McMurray, Division Director of Global commerce, Georgia Department of Economic Development, Mr. Copeland, Chair, Griffin-Spalding Development Authority and Japanese and US parties concerned.

    Toppan USA, Inc. (President Sumio Esaki) is a US subsidiary of Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. The new plant has been invested a total of about 100 million yen and is expected to employ about 80 people for the production of GL FILM, a transparent barrier film that corresponds to various needs in the food, beverage, medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial material sectors. This new plant will allow Toppan USA to expand it capacity to provide GL FILM in North America and Europe as well as to markets in Central and South America where future growth is expected.
