Fuji Film Celebrates 25th Anniversary in Greenwood, SC

On October 2nd, 2013 Fuji Film Manufacturing USA (FFM) hosted a ceremony to celebrate its 25th anniversary in Greenwood, SC where Consul General (CG) Kazuo Sunaga was an invited guest. Fuji Film Manufacturing is headed by company president, Mr. Tomoyoshi “John” Ueno and has about 1,200 employees. FFM launched its operation in Greenwood, SC and has been serving as a North American hub of production, distribution, and RD since 1988. Their production comes in six projects including color photographic paper and QuickSnap recyclable cameras.
The Ceremony was also attended by SC Governor Haley and Mr. Shigehiro Nakajima, President and CEO of Fuji Film Corporation (FFM parent company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan). CG Sunaga expressed his appreciation for the support from Governor Haley, the state of South Carolina, as well as the local host communities for FFM and other Japanese companies. The Governor’s office and County Economic Development Commission presented FFM with certificates of appreciation for their contributions to the local economy and community as a good corporate citizen. The event, followed by a dinner, was attended by about 150 people including County Economic Development Commissioner Allison, State Senator Nicholson, FFM President Mr. Ueno, FFM clients, business partners and associates.
