30th Annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival
(March 26, 2011)

Deputy Consul General Miyamori
Delivering Opening Remarks
For its 30th anniversary, the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival decided to add more elements of Japanese culture to its activities, as the festival was originally founded by Hitachi Maxell, a Japanese company with facilities in Conyers at the time. Attractions this year included Japanese dancing and taiko drumming, as well as the JIC Booth which was distributing magazines, uchiwa fans, and other items. The Book of Condolences and Encouragement for Japan earthquake victims was also available to sign.
