The children at Seigakuin Atlanta International School worked hard last month to fold more than 200 origami ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree representing Japan at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History’s first annual Winter Wonderland.
The display features more than 20 trees decorated with a variety of cultural ornaments celebrating the diversity of holidays around the world.

This plaque next to the Japan tree explains the significance of the origami cranes which decorate the tree.

The Japan tree is one of many in the exhibit.
The Japan tree, decorated by the Tomodachi Club, will be on view November 17, 2010 – January 5, 2011.
