The JIC Table with Book of Condolences and Encouragement
As in previous years, Tuscaloosa's Sakura Matsuri celebrations ended in March with the "Matsuri in the Mall" event. Previously held at McFarland Mall, the event has since moved to the nearby University Mall.
Although the venue had changed, all of the attractions of previous years were present, including arts and crafts, martial arts demonstrations, music, and dance. While the mood was festive, minds were still on the people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the JIC display included a Book of Condolence and Encouragement for visitors to sign and send their messages to Japan.
