Japanese Knife-Making Demonstrations (August 15 and 16, 2012)
Japanese knife masters Tadashi Enami, Akimasa Oe, and Yuzo Tani will demonstrate steel knife forging, assembling, sharpening, and engraving at two upcoming classes at The Cook’s Warehouse. The three knife masters, from Sakai City, will have an interpreter on hand to explain each step to the audience.
After the demonstration, attendees will host a sampling of Japanese hors d’oeuvres and a sake tasting with Mary S. Moore, founder and CEO of The Cook’s Warehouse and Don Hackett, manager of Cook’s Decatur store and resident senior wine educator.
