Consulate General of Japan at the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival
The weather may not have been the most hospitable, but the Japanese Consulate nevertheless participated to help the city of Macon celebrate their 275,000 Yoshino cherry trees at the 2010 Macon International Cherry Blossom Festival. Our exhibit had travel information, children's games, educational info, videos, and origami.
Other attractions that day included food and games, cultural exhibits by local photographers, landscaping artists, and ikebana practitioners, an hour-long parade featuring multiple marching bands, local officials, and classic cars, and carnival rides.
