In a rare matchup, two American soccer teams with Japanese players, the Atlanta Silverbacks and the Tampa Bay Rowdies, met on the pitch at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. With Kohei Matsushita playing for Atlanta, and Takuya Yamada and Tsuyoshi Yoshitake playing for Tampa Bay, Japanese players made quite an impact.

With Mr. Yamada in rare form that day, the Rowdies won 3-2. Especially for this match, the Georgia Japanese Language School also had about 100 students and parents in attendance for the event.
