The University of West Georgia held its first annual Multicultural Festival on March 18, 2010, where cultures of regions from Asia to the Caribbean were represented. Sponsored by the school's Office of Institutional Diversity, the event's activities included presentations on dance, poetry, and visual arts. Among these was a special presentation on the Japanese kimono.
