Former CNN Anchor Sachi Koto Awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosetta (December 2, 2021)

     On December 2nd, 2021, former CNN News anchor Sachi Koto was conferred with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette at a formal ceremony which was held at the official residence of the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta. Through her career, Ms. Koto has promoted mutual understanding between Japan and the US. Consul General Takeuchi conveyed Ms. Koto the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette medal.

     As well as being a shining example in the media, Ms. Koto has been an outstanding contributor to and promoter of understanding as she has served in her many leadership positions in various organizations that have helped bridge cultural relations being the US and Japan. The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta is extremely honored to have conferred Ms. Koto with the Spring 2021 Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette.
