School Caravan at Ridgeview Charter Middle School (March 24, 2022)

    On March 24th, the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta staff has visited Ridgeview Charter Middle School from Fulton County Schools, and have done a “School Caravan*” (*Project to visit schools to Introduce Japanese Culture) to around 50 in total of 6th, 7th, 8th graders who are taking Japanese class.

    We started by introducing the role of Japanese Consulate, then introduced the culture of “Hina-matsuri” (Girls day festival in Japan), singing the song for Hina-matsuri together, and at the end did a craft of making the Hina-dolls using cups and origami.
