Deputy Consul General Fukunaga meets with Clemson University President James Clements (September 6, 2023)

On September 6, Deputy Consul Fukunaga visited Clemson University and traded views with President Clements on Japan-US educational exchanges. Earlier in the day, Deputy Consul Fukunaga took part in a Japanese language class taught by Assistant Professor Kumiko Saito at the school, and related the students’ keen interest in Japan relations to President Clements. In response, the president emphasized the importance of cooperation with Japan, and that he would like to work with greater interest in relations with Japan in all aspects.
