Deputy Consul General Fukunaga Visits Macon

On October 19, Deputy Consul General Fukunaga visited Macon-Bibb County where he met with Mayor Lester Miller and visited three esteemed institutes of higher learning: Mercer University, Middle Georgia State University and Wesleyan College. Deputy Consul General Fukunaga also met with Chief Nursing Executive Tracey Blalock and three participants of Atrium Health Navicent’s exchange program with Macon’s sister city Kurobe who came to Macon to study and exchange medical practices with their sister city. Deputy Consul General Fukunaga enjoyed discussing the rich history of Macon and the role that Japan has played in the last 50 years. We look forward to a bright future in middle Georgia!
