2024 Autumn Conferment of Japanese Decoration (Mr. Greg Canfield & Mr. Lewis Holladay Lancaster, III)

On November 3, 2024, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2024 Autumn Conferment of Decorations. Within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta, the following distinguished people will be honored:

· Mr. Greg Canfield; Former Secretary of Commerce, State of Alabama

In recognition of his contribution to promoting regional economic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States, he will receive The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette.

· Mr. Lewis Holladay Lancaster, III; Former Chair, The Japan-America Society of Georgia
Former Managing Director, Far Eastern Office, Georgia Department of Industry & Trade
Envoy in charge of Japanese Delegation, Atlanta Olympics

In recognition of his contributions to promoting interregional exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States, he will receive The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette.
