Consul General’s Commendation to City of Americus and Miyoshi (Konu) Sister City Cultural Exchange Program and Rome/Floyd County International Association (August 20, 2025)

On August 20th, 2025, on the occasion of the reception for sister city relationship, Consul General Maeda awarded "Consul General’s Commendation" to City of Americus and Miyoshi (Konu) Sister City Cultural Exchange Program and Rome/Floyd County International Association.
Both organizations have been engaged in sister city exchange activities for many years, providing opportunities to introduce Japanese culture to their local communities through youth exchange programs and other initiatives. Through these efforts, they have made significant contributions to the promotion of Japan–U.S. friendship and have played an important role in strengthening the bonds between Japan and the State of Georgia.
*Consul General’s Commendation is an award which recognizes an individual who has provided significant contributions to mutual understanding and promoting friendship between Japan and the United States.
