Consul General Mio Maeda Hosts the 50th Anniversary Reception at the Official Residence

On Wednesday, June 5th the Consul General Maeda hosted the 50th Anniversary reception to commemorate of the establishment of Consulate office and the rich cultural and economic relationships between Japan and the Southeast US. Many guests joined in celebrating, and the program was highlighted by addresses from former Governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal and Representative Mike Shaw, AL House of Representatives as well as messages from senators U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff and U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock. Guests also enjoyed offerings from many prominent Japanese companies.
The Consulate looks forward to another 50 years of a continued friendship and enduring partnership with the community of the Southeast US.
