Consul General Maeda attends Spring Festival in Huntsville, Alabama (May 5, 2024)

On May 5, Consul General Maeda and his wife visited the Spring Festival held at the North Alabama Japanese Garden at Montesano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Robert Black, the designer and gardener of the Japanese Garden, gave opening remarks at the opening ceremony. Consul General Maeda gave a speech highlighting the beautiful of the Japanese Garden and the strong friendship between Japan and Alabama. The opening ceremony was followed by a Bon Odori dance with taiko drumming by Daikin America. The North Alabama Japanese Garden was established in 2016 to introduce Japanese culture to the local people.
