Dr. Brian Woodall receives The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette (March 13th, 2026)

On Friday, March 13th, Consul General Kenichi Matsuda presented The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette to Dr. Brian Woodall at a conferment ceremony at the Residence of the Consul General of Japan in Atlanta. Dr. Woodall was conferred The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette in recognition of his contribution to promoting academic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States. The decoration is for the Autumn 2025 term. Dr. Woodall was one of 104 foreign nationals to receive decoration.
